Can You Go Alone is an animated snapshot of Lagos life, told through Pa Gabe and Buck, two best friends stuck working night shifts at a struggling betting shop in Egbeda. What starts as another routine evening of hopeful gamblers, broken dreams, and small talk quickly spirals into chaos when luck turns, tempers flare, and the city refuses to sleep.

Blending sharp humour, street wisdom, and raw honesty, the film explores friendship, masculinity, survival, and the quiet loneliness hiding beneath Lagos’ noise. With a bold narrator who breaks the fourth wall and refuses to mind her business, Can You Go Alone turns everyday hustle into comedy, and comedy into reflection.

Funny, unfiltered, and painfully relatable, this short asks one simple question: in a city where everyone is chasing something, can anyone really make it alone?
